What things do you do to make sure your LO gets enough social interaction with other kids since he or she is an only child? Are there any other things you do to minimize or address any possible negative components of being an only child?

I am a Stay at Home mom for the time being but plan to go back to work in the nonprofit sector in a few years when DD goes to preschool. I lurk more than I post because I seem to always find myself on TB when I am holding DD while she sleeps or feeding her and not in a position to type. I'm looking forward to getting to know y'all though!

To answer your question... we both work full-time, but have worked things out so that DD is home with hubby on Wednesdays and me on Fridays. MIL watches her the other 3 days and she is around her older cousins there as well.

My son is in daycare, and he loves it. I foster relationships with his cousins, 6 of whom live in the same city as we do. We are very involved in our church and he plays with the kids in the nursery while we are in worship services or other event

DH and I both work full time so DD goes to daycare. It has been great for her.

DH and I both work FT, so DD goes to a really fantastic daycare (we call it school). My coworker's daughter (just 3 weeks older than DD) is in the same class, so she gets to see her little BFF in and out of school since we gtg outside of work too.

I WAH part time, so some weeks I send DS to an in home daycare for a day. Even on the weeks he doesn't go to daycare, we attend our local library storytime, go to multiple playdates, and most often he's in a local rec program (art class, music cl
Well I work part-time so DD is in a family daycare 3 days a week though most of those kids are 2 or 2.5 so a bit older. We go to a weekly music class that is mixed ages, we go to an indoor playspace in the winter that is for 0-6yrs and most are i
