Sleep training suggestions!

Hey

My son is 26 months old. I wanted to breastfeed him for 2 yrs and I did he always slept while I was breastfeeding him...now he is completely on solids all through the day he sleeps on his own but he gets up like 2-3 time in the middle of the night and cries for milk. I give him whole milk out of the bottle but he doesn't like it at night. I am able to put him back to sleep but i don't want him to cry like this everyday. Can someone give me some advice and tips to soothe him back to sleep easy and quick.

I let DS CIO but he was younger. It will definitely be harder since he is older. If he's eating enough during the day he shouldn't need anything at night. It sounds like he's just looking for comfort. Good luck!!

  • I had a perfectly sleep trained baby from months 6-22.  At 22 months, something happened and he is a bear to put to sleep at night and wakes every single night.  I let him crawl into bed with us.  He also asks for milk!?!?  Most times

  •  I thought it was hunger but another friend of mine feels the same too. I have to be more strong and say "no" I guess. Thanks for your response!
  • Hey Shaw. Thanks for responding! I am gonna be a little strong from today and let him get over it. OMG! I am so scared for tonight.
  • My son is 28 months old and he was bad at night where he would need to suck on water cup and somedays ask for milk. Some days it would be around 5 and others it would be around 2/3. We even got him in habit of going till 5 for month but then it got worse.
  • Thanks a lot krupatel that was helpful :) I can try giving him water and see if that works! My little one really listens and understands. Hope this works!
