Shawnee Mission Medical Center

Hi Ladies!

We're packing our hospital bag & I see a lot of suggestions for bringing things like towels, blankets, pillows, etc.  I was wondering if anyone has given birth at SMMC & what they thought about those types of items.  Bring your own, or be happy with what they have?  Thanks for the advice!

    Man, I went to the open house at SM, and that place is AWESOME! I can't imagine not being happy with what they provide, I wanted to just move in and live there! It did look to me like the robes were a shorter length, so if you prefer a longer one you might bring it. They had such a nice storage area behind the bed, you won't have to worry about stashing things out of the way if you pack a bit on the heavy side. Best of luck!
