I've been away for a few days. I needed to stay off the internet to stop myself from searching and searching for 1 in a million chances of coming back from dropping betas.
My betas continued to drop and I am at the tail end of a MC. It's been a really rough week. It appears that my old crappy eggs are not the only cause of our previous losses.
I have a call with my Dr on Monday morning to go over what my have gone wrong and what we can do differently when we start down the road of our next attempt.
I guess I was wondering if I could draw upon your previous experiences and ask what suggestions you might have as to questions I could or should ask.

Re: WTF Call - MC mentioned
First, I'm so very, very sorry for your loss....big ((HUGS)) to you.
While I've never gotten pregnant before with my OE, I did have a chemical on my first DE cycle. Don't get me wrong, I still believe my OE are pretty crappy (given my age, etc.) and that I need DE to succeed, but I don't think DE failures are often bad luck, like many RE's like to say they are.
Even though a lot of RE's don't believe in RI (Reproductive Immunology) testing, I think with your history, it makes sense to get an immune workup done. From my own research, there are three well-known RI's in the US:
1) The B.eer Center in C.A
2) Dr. K.wak-K.im in Ch.icago
3) Dr. B.raverman in N.Y
My consult is next week, so I don't have a treatment plan yet, but I will say that I was surprised that there are at least 5 different flags that came up in my immune workup...one of which is MTHFR, which my RE never tested me for. Some of my other issues are related to clotting and even though I've had a clotting panel done before, apparently these issues weren't picked up by the more standardized tests.
I'm no expert, but I would certainly want to look into NK cells, clotting factors, paternal anti-bodies, etc. as possible reasons for implantation failure/early miscarriage. I'm assuming you've had all of the standard testing done by now - endometrial biopsy, saline sono and HSG...so like I said, I think immune testing would be warranted.
I will say that seeing an RI is pretty expensive, but I needed to take this next step for my own peace of mind...best of luck in whatever you decide to do.
Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions, but like I said, I'm still in the initial phases myself.
Me: AMA, DOR, undetectable AMH, carrier of SMA, MTHFR homozygous C677T, high cytokines, low IGg B cells, Factor XIII V34l mutation, High Anti-Phosphatidylethanolmine, borderline hypothyroid and mildly insulin resistant.
MH: No known issues, aside from MTHFR.
Recommendations from RI: LIT, Humira, IVIG, Lovenox, Baby Aspirin, Folic Acid, Low-dose synthroid and Metformin.
Currently taking: Pre-Natal vitamins, Foltanx, Low-dose synthroid and Metformin.
When cycling also taking: Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, Humira and IVIG.
TTC since 7/11/09..with medical intervention starting in 2010, including 4 failed IVF's and 6 failed IUI's...only "success" was a chemical pregnancy in 11/2012 (credited to use of DE).

Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive. Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

I'm so sorry that you are going through this. I agree with pp that maybe immune testing would be the next step. It's definitely true that a lot of REs don't buy into immune issues. My losses were from my OE and likely due to age, but I'll share my experience.
After my first loss, we went to another clinic that happens to be one of the big proponents of immune testing. We found out that I have elevated NK cells. But we also found out shortly after the testing that I was pregnant with DS and it was too late to address the immune issues. Immune protocols are typically initiated before pregnancy, not during pregnancy. Clearly the NK cell situation didn't mean anything for me as I now have DS.
When I had my DE consult, I asked the new RE about my NK cell activity. I wondered if this could have had any connection to my 2 losses since DS. In his opinion, people over-react to Natural Killer cells because of the name. If they were called something else, people wouldn't be freaking out. He said that it's *possible* that immune issues could cause a m/c, but in my case, he really thought it was my old eggs. He went on to say that he thinks the studies regarding immune issues were flawed and generated a lot of money because the testing and protocols are so expensive. Again, this is only his opinion and I know that it's a controversial issue.
I'm assuming you've had a recurrent loss panel? I just had one done to rule out any non-age related issues.
I really hope that your meeting with the RE is productive and that you are able to come up with a new plan of action moving forward. Thinking of you!

Has your DH had an SCSA test to test for sperm DNA integrity? We had it done in November after 4 losses and my DH came back with a high rate (46%) of DNA fragmentation.
"A review of data on hundreds of semen samples show that patients with a DNA fragmentation level of greater than 30% are likely to have significantly-reduced fertility potential, including a significant reduction in term pregnancies and a doubling of miscarriages."
more here https://www.ivf.com/scsa.html
We're using C.CRM now and they've pointed to his result as a likely cause, or at least partial cause of our issues.
It was new news to us - we'd been told by the best local clinic that it was an issue with my eggs. C.C.RM doesn't think so.
We're going to do IVF#4 and use CCS testing to see if we can find any normal embryos.
Hope that helps.
