So I hit a pregnancy milestone recently -- someone who works at the cafeteria at work asked me if I am having twins. Uhh.. I'm not, and I still have 7+ weeks to go! Am I really that enormous? Or is that the kind of thing idiots say to 3rd trimester ladies all the time?

I get this all.the.time! 9 weeks left and so tired of "I thought you were a lot closer!"
Yeah that can be hard too -- we have a pregnancy group at work -- we're 6 women with 6 very different pregnancies.. and even though we're all due within 8 weeks of one and other, some have gained 50 lbs while others have gained 15. There are so many factors at play.
**DD1 - 7/9/98**
**DS - 11/9/00**
**DD2 - 4/30/13**
I get something similar, a lot of "Wow, I expected you to be SOO much bigger!" and I am not a super petite person, just regular sized and I have gained 20lbs.
So if I mention any kind of aches and pains they make it seem like I am making it up since "you are not big at ALL!"
This. And then if I mention it's twins I get "oh well you aren't even that big for twins! I was *huge* when I was pregnant!" Right.
I get weekly texts from my SIL saying her nephews hungry. She doesn't think I'm big enough. Other people ask if I'm measuring correctly because I hardly look pregnant and that irritates me. So don't feel bad, OP, either way we can't win.
