Changing station on Pack n Play

We set up our Pack n Play a few weeks ago, but I"m confused as to what we're supposed to put in the changing station area. Do you use a changing pad and cover? Do you just use a cover or a water-resistant blanket/pad? Do you just leave it as is? Any suggestions?

We used the disposable changing pad covers, cut in half. Most times neither one had an accident but when they did... we also kept Lysol wipes handy

You can also get these things I think are called lap pads. I have a few and used them on even my regular changing pad when she was smaller. They are a soft material with a waterproof center

Or, if that was in the wash, just one of the disposable changing pads that we keep in DS's diaper bag.

Someone got me a waterproof pad for my mattress but since I had so many, I cut into thirds and used one wherever I changed diapers. That being said, I never really used the changing station after the first few days because it was oddly low and bothered my back to bend that way.

I use disposable multi-use pads. Munchkin makes them as well as Babies R Us. They are smaller than the disposable changing table pads, so they fit nicely on the PNP changer. My DS doesn't usually get the pad messy, so I don't have to dispose of the pad very often.

We used versatile quilted waterproof pads that could catch some liquids but usually what necessitated a fresh change were the poopy blowouts where the stuff would just get all over everything when trying to remove soiled clothing and diapers. These pads were also great for nursing or a quick change on the bed or anywhere else.

When I used it, I just put baby down right on the pad. It was easy enough to wipe up if we got it dirty.
