Anyone else toss their cookies today? After a particularly violent episode over here, I'm feeling sorry for myself (and my baby) as I try to recover and figure out what I can eat that might stay down.
This has happened a handful of times when I took my PNV with a "lighter" dinner, so I guess I'll ask for a new PNV Rx tomorrow.
So distract me, girls... am I the only one still puking?
Re: Monday Barf Check-in (Whine)
Thanks for this. I never heard or read of iron as being the culprit. I've always had a hard time with any sort of multivitamin and just figured that this was an extension of that problem. The PNV is Taron -C DHA which has an iron complex of the following to total a 194% DV:
53.5 mg of Ferrous Fumarate (anhydrous)
38 mg of Polysaccharide Iron Complex
Another odd thing about this is that I've had this Rx since week 8, took them before bed with water and had no troubles up to about week 18, when they started making me so queasy I couldn't sleep.
I started taking them with dinner, and found out the hard way that they had to be 1/2 to 2/3 of the way through the meal, otherwise it all would come back up. I've tolerated them with the same meal I had tonight before, which is weird, but have no problems if I have a heavier meal with meat, carbs and fats. I'll definitely ask about taking iron separately.
It's weird how much things keep changing as the pregnancy goes along, that's for sure. Hope the rest of you feel better soon, too.
I haven't since last Tuesday... but it's bound to happen again soon.
Sorry- it's awful!
