Encouragement?

in Babies: 3 - 6 Months
My baby is 4 and a half weeks old. He seems to be going backwards with sleep and fussiness. Can anyone give encouragement that this will end??? I feel exhausted but was told 3 month is the magical number when u see improvement.

    There is a growth spurt around that time that can cause the need for more feedings especially if you are bfing and I found we always had a regression right before she started sleeping longerand better... I found that magic age differs but in general it gets better each ppassing week after six to twelve.. I can say at almost six months those first two months are long forgotten :

    It gets better!! Yes, there are times when it's two steps forward, three steps back, but luckily those phases are short. If it is a growth spurt, it will only last a few days and then you'll get a day or two of extra sleeping to make up for it. Just remember that with kids there is always "something" and every phase will pass as quickly as it started. Focus on getting through just one hour at a time and before you know it the newborn stage will be over. Also savor the good moments as much as possible, to help balance out the not so good times. Hang in there!

    It does get better!!!  My LO is 5 months now. My best advice is to just enjoy this time with your LO because they grow soooo fast and time passes sooooo quickly!  I kinda wish I could go back to 4 1/2 weeks old just to hug and hold his little tininess all over again.  I know your exhausted, but it does get better as far as sleep and fussiness.  Hang in there mommy!

    I don't want to be discouraging but there is no magic number. Babies go through phases. Some nights they may sttn and other nights they may wake up 5 times. That said you will have more nights that are manageable. 4 weeks is still so new.

    It will end, I remember being so tired and frustrated at that stage. For me anyways, at 7-8 weeks things got better, and by 12 weeks she was getting so much more fun (smiling, "talking", ect). So hang in there, it will get better, even though there will always be rough patches
