Foscam Camera as video monitor

Does anyone use this? I have a few questions about it if you do and wouldn't mind answering them...

    We use one, I might not be super helpful as my husband is the one who set it all up, but ask away! 

    I really like it, the video is way better quality than regular baby video monitors. I watch it on my phone the most.I use a regular graco audio monitor alongside the foscam, that way I don't have to have the app open on my phone/computer/TV all the time.

    Thanks for starting this thread. I have a question about the Foscam -- I've heard people love them but am I right that they really aren't mobile once you've set them up? One thing I'd like for a video camera is to be able to take it with us when we go on vacation, stay with my parents, etc. Thanks!

    We have the 8910w and it works great.. we use it more as a novelty though since our main baby monitor is the motorola baby monitor.  If you plan to travel with it, yes you will need wifi and you will need to setup the wifi through an eithernet cable each time you go to a location with a different wifi network.  It does not "remember" multiple networks (at least I don't think it does).  So you need to dedicate at least 10 minutes to set up, whereas if you travel with a typical baby monitor its pretty much plug it in and you are up and running in no time. 

    With our foscam we've used the iphone and ipad free apps which are basic and haven't tested the paid apps that alert you when the noise reaches a certain barrier.

    Actually most of my Qs were answered by someone on my BMB but I was wondering if you can view the monitor from elsewhere with the iphone app, so like if DH and I were at dinner could we check in via the app or do you have to be connected to the same wifi to view the camera feed?
