Babies: 6 - 9 Months

eating more solids?

My 7 month old has been slow moving with food... and we have been doing one "meal" a day that sometimes is nothing more than a couple of spoonfuls of veggies/fruit.

I know he is getting a decent amount in (thank you diapers!) but obviously we need to begin incorporating more..

just wondering if anyone else has moved slowly for this and how they progress? I am ready to start a 2nd meal.. but not sure how long i should stick with plan fruits and veggies - when to move on to more complex combinations?

I have been using homemade baby food so there has been nothing other than fruits and veggies in his purees but ready to try some of the pouches or something to mix it up a bit!

Re: eating more solids?

  • DS1 was given cereals and homemade purees until he was a little older than your LO then, at that point, I started sharing table food with him and doing more of a BLW sort of thing. I never got the pouches or whatever, but would let him have whatever we wer having as long as it was unseasoned and mush/small. I'll do the same thing with this LO eventually.
