Cradle Cap

Hello!

My LO (who is now 8 months) still has a bit of cradle cap. Aside from baby oil, is there anything else I can/should use? I hate to see that stuff on his scalp.

I also try to rub (a little harder but still kinda gentle) the area during bath time.

Re: Cradle Cap

  • Try mineral oil.  Not sure if it'll work any better than baby oil but it worked for us.

  • Coconut oil worked when nothing else did. And DS had a severe case. Leave it on overnight and comb the flakes off the next morning.

Pretty sure these are the same thing.

We used jojoba oil. Rub it in gently during bath time using a wet was cloth. Then wash hair like normal. Be sure no to get in the eyes. After the bath is over brush through the hair with baby brush. This routine got rid of my LO cradle cap  in one session.

  • Thanks guys!

  • Try lightly scrubbing with a soft toothbrush when you wash lo's hair. This has really worked for us.
