Valco Snap?

Does anyone have this stroller?  I am looking for something lightweight to travel with and keep in the car.  I was looking at the city mini as well, but this seems lighter with a smaller footprint.  It also seems more durable than the umbrella strollers.  I can't find it in store locally to check out, so any thoughts and comments are appreciated!

Re: Valco Snap?

  • I have the Valco Snap Duo for 2...I just received it off of amazon a few weeks ago.  I really like it-it was much more lightweight than I expected for a double & has a nice sized basket & sunshade. It also opens in one step as promised. I had to buy it "blind" so to speak since my local BBB does not carry Valco strollers in house.

I was looking at the City Mini as well (but the double) & didn't like the fact that the basket wasn't any bigger than an umbrella basket...in my case I thought with 2U2...the basket might be needed. You can also use it with a newborn (with inserts) without a car seat-which is nice.

It is nice & sturdy, however my Uppababy G-luxe is just as sturdy.  If you compared it to a cheap umbrella-it would be more sturdy.  It seems comparable in quality to the City Mini.  One nice thing with it is if you go on Valco's site you can purchase an adaptor to make it a travel system.

  • I'm planning to get the Snap 4 and all the reasons you described are why I am choosing it over an umbrella.  It's a lot more full featured which is important to me. I played with a Snap Dual recently and liked it.  The fabric isn't my favorite but it's fine and I'd probably just put a stroller liner on the seat.
