Box spring or no?
Just converted my sons toddler bed into a full size bed. The base has 3 wooden slats across it. Can i put the mattress directly on the slats or does it need a box spring for support? i currently have a low profile box spring on it and it seems really high.

I would get a box spring. If you are concerned about the bed being to high off the ground you could get rails or a bunkie board.
