1. Took the boys to a "circus" today. I say "circus" because I got a super weird back alley feel. I guess you can't expect much from a circus tent pitched 500 yards from the swap meet. We left after 15 minutes because it was WAY loud and it was so hot that I had to take Gray's clothes off. Max spent the the whole time eating cotton candy and turned around in his seat pointing outside yelling "TRUCKS!" over and over. We ended up going to the park which was much better!
2. I had the computer on tonight and a still of Mariah Carey came up. Max started pointing at her, panting and frantically repeating, "dog, dog, dog." I almost died laughing.
3. I think I am addicted to coconut oil. The kids and I are all slathered with it and I can't stop eating fried eggs made with it. Yum.
4. I made overnight chilled oats today and I can barely wait until tomorrow morning to see if they turn out okay. I have been craving the swiss oatmeal from Corner Bakery for forever and a day so I hope they are at least close.
5. I want my husband to come home from his trip so I can stop doing "blue jobs" like emptying the diaper pail.
Re: Randoms
Kimbus, Sophia missed that memo too.
Making appt. with pedi today. I'm hoping Sophia is just having sleep issues and not an ear infection. She was playing with her ears before bed. Why does this kid never get a fever???
It would at least make the guessing game easier.
It's finally going to be nice enough to go for a walk, cept it's been raining since yesterday morning. Yay for the lake in my yard! :::grumble:::
Today I am making Michaela some sensory bottles with bubbles, beads, coins, marbles and fun stuff.
Other than that it's laundry day today.
What? That doesn't even make sense (but it makes for a good chuckle!)
Max and I could be BFF's.
I am so glad that he showed up - and bonus points for cleaning your house! I hope this means this is a fresh start for the two of you
Booooo! I hope the pedi can help Sophia - whatever it is that is going on.
Also, DD1 was that way. My only cues that she had an ear infection were her blood curling screams in the middle of the night. At least after a while, I was able to tell if they were "ear infection" screams of just "I hate the world" screams.
Sounds like he got the DST memo a little late - Enjoy the peace and quiet!
My randoms
The girls apparently got the DST memo a day late and slept in this morning - since they are my alarm clock, I was late to work but I don't care. I had nothing urgent on my plate this morning, and everyone in my house was in a great mood from being so well-rested - definitely worth getting to work late
Only 4 weeks of work left until maternity leave. I'm super excited to be off work, but also a little freaked out about baby coming so soon.
Spill smoothie all over the rug and sofa
Get milk, smoothie and yogurt in his hair
"Paint" with yogurt
Run the dog over multiple times with his shopping cart
Unravel a roll of paper towels from me cleaning up mess....why oh why did I leave them out!
Ugh. Here's to hoping your day gets better from here
Since DS was born DD has been watching waaaaay more TV than I like. Today is day one of Operation Turn-Off. So far she has screamed at me five times because she wants to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Right now she's playing with my dirty workout shoes, and I'm letting her, because at least she isn't screaming. Oh, and also, she has a cold. Fun times here.
I have a job interview this week. I do really want it, but part of me just keeps thinking about how miserable it will be to get up at the crack of dawn to get kids to daycare and get to work on time. I haven't ever had to deal with daycare drop-offs yet...
DS was up for two hours straight last night. This doesn't happen to him, so I'm not used to it. I was pitching a fit in the middle of the night while DH slept through the five billion times I got up to put the pacifier in.
We're all in really excellent moods today.
LOL
// I love you too. //
