Name Idea..Help Please :)

So far, I'm the only one checking out names. DH is on the "let's find out what we're having first" bandwagon...but I want to be prepared with a list. FIL's middle name is August, and I really like that as a middle name...not sure how I feel about it as a first name yet. My dad's name has already been used by my brother for his son.

Sidenote: Our last name starts with Z, ends with -er.

Tell me what you think about these:

Weston August

Owen August

Hudson August

and if it was a first name: August Timothy

Which do we like better ladies? Gotta be prepared when I present to DH...lol

I like Weston and Hudson the best. We also have a middle name but no first name for a boy, and a middle name with two first name options for a girl.

If I had to choose it as a middle name, Owen August.
I really don't like Weston.

Now that I'm seeing it in writing, I'm ok with August as a first name. Gotta see what DH thinks. I think because I'm a product of a shortened name (Christine to Christy) I keep wondering if someone will shorten it to Augie or something weird...haha...and that throws me back to keeping it as a middle name.

Right, and I don't know how I feel about my kid being called Gus. No offense to any Gus's out there. Just a personal opinion I do like Lucas!

DH loves Gus. Ick.

I like names to flow. Like if you have a one sylible middle name have a two sylible first name and visa versa.
