Due date has come and gone and no baby yet :(

So I have never written on here before but I thought it would be nice to get some encouragement. I have been having BH contractions for about 3 weeks now and lots of cramping. So I thought, sure enough, our LO would be early. False. Today was my due date and she still hasn't made her arrival. Tomorrow we have an appointment with our doctor to talk about induction. Last Monday I was 1 cm and 50% effaced. The most frustrating part has been family and friends saying they have a "feeling" today is the day...which I have been hearing for the last two weeks. Every. Time I start having contractions I get my hopes up only to be disappointed when they start going away. I am feeling tired and emotionally drained from all these false labor contractions and no real action going on. Anyone else in the same boat?? 

P.S. My DH and I are having a baby girl, and her name is Alexa Reese :) SO ready to meet her.

    A due date is really just a rough estimate - it's not uncommon for first time moms to go well into 41 weeks. Unless you were charting/using IVF or IUI it's very hard to accurately predict when you would actually be 40 weeks.

    I hear ya....I was due on March 6th and still waiting for our baby girl to arrive.  It is frustrating not knowing when everything will happen.  I agree with the other post on here about your due date being an estimate.  I just figure when the baby is ready to come they will.  I'm hoping that my LO comes before they want to induce me.  Good luck at your doctor appointment and hope you get to meet your LO very soon!!
    Natural m/c on 12-22-11@ 8 weeks. D&C 12-23-11. Natural m/c @5 weeks on 3/22/12.

    Everyone told me I would go early due 3/1 and I went into labor yesterday. I'm still in labor but not pain.

    I am glad the doctor let me go so long...I was supposed to get induced TODAY but I naturally went into labor. On Friday I was high thick ad closed and Sunday, 7 hours after my first little cramp, I went into the hospital at 45 cm dilated!

    Trust your body. My labor has been fairly easy if slow ; and baby is doing awesome. I figure she got an extra week to bake in there and she needed it!

    Hi :) I was also due today and starting to feel a little anxious. I got pg with IVF so I know for sure the due date and still nothing :P I have been trying everything and nothing is working, last Dr apt on Friday showed I was 2 cm but baby hasn't droped and my cervix is still long :( somedays I feel like she is never coming. And this is my second so you just never know :)

    I still technically have 7 more days but I understand your frustration. We had at least 4 people tell us yesterday that it was the day. They just knew they would get the phone call. I then made BH into real contractions and was halfway out the door before DH convinced me to wait it out. Saved us a trip to the hospital since no baby!! I hope he comes in the next few days?..

    Thank you everyone!!! My doctors appointment went great! Dr stripped my membranes so now we are just gonna wait. If nothing happens by Wednesday we are going in at 9:30 pm to be induced!
