Sonogram shows fluid on bridge of nose...

2 weeks ago, I had my anatomy scan where they found some fluid (thickness) on the bridge of the nose. Everything else was perfect and fine. They asked me to come back in for a second scan of the face 2 weeks later..

So, today was my appt and they still saw the fluid on the bridge of the nose.. they couldn't tell me what it was or what it could possibly mean.. It didn't get any worse or any better, but said it could just be the shape of the nose.. but that it normally isn't that thick (the skin between the nose bone/bridge).

A little worried despite docs telling me no cause for alarm... and yet they want me to come back in 2 weeks to check it again..

If it's cause for alarm, they would have told me .. right?

In my experience, yes they would tell you if it was something to be alarmed about. DS had a lot of growth issues that got progressively more serious. At first they wanted to just watch it and it was not a big deal- repeat scans every 2 weeks- as it got worse and worse they definitely let me know their concerns and were honest when it got to a point of needing more serious intervention. If they aren't worried- I wouldn't worry! (easier said than done!)

That is odd that they want to keep checking it but won't tell you what the issue could be. I would try not to worry because no news is good news, but I can imagine that's very hard. You will be in my prayers! Hopefully baby just has a cute, thick nose! I hope that your fears can be eased soon.
