We're having twins. They 'guessed' their sex at our NT scan as girls. I've always loved the same names, and now some of them are popular, but I still love them.

My favorites first names are:

Halle
Chloe
Emma
Whitney
Callie
Ella

Favorite middle names:

Elise
Grace
Noelle
Aven

I'm super girly and my first name doesn't lend itself to a nickname, which I always wished it would.

Also, not that it really matters, but my H is black.

Any ideas on other names that are along these lines but interesting and not super popular?

Those are lovely names! I like Callie best. As you say you like nicknames, would you look for a formal name that shortens to Callie?

this is where I don't know. like calista or calliope? I think either are beautiful. my h's name has cal at the beginning and he thinks people will assume he named the child after him and feels selfish for it. i'm not sure why.

I'm not sure what I'd pick...your fn choices don't really have nn potential, other than maybe Ella and Emma. A lot of them are also juvenile for my taste.

I do like Elise a lot.

I love stella.

since I've loved these names for many years (literally started on babynames.com in like 2004) I wonder if they are juvenile as well. I still love them, but I don't want my girls to hate their name. I don't love my name.

I SERIOUSLY hate the mn "Grace." It's the most overused mn out there. And for those suggesting "Ella Grace", I have two little girls in my family (different sides) with this exact name. And I know two other women from high school who named their daughters exactly that. Grace is bad enough...Ella Grace is just beyond unorginal.

I never liked grace on my own, but h recommended it.. and I rarely take his advice (i'm a jerk obviously) so if eel bad.
