XP: Diono Radian R120 vs. Britax Marathon 70-G3

Anyone have any experience with either of these seats?  I'm trying to decide which to get (since we just got tax return money I figured I would start looking for a convertible car seat).

Both seem to have decent reviews, and I know the diono radian is more narrow for smaller back seats (which is a plus for us since we haven't invested in a larger vehicle as of yet).  But we don't plan on having another LO until DD is around 3 years old... so I won't be trying to squeeze multiple seats in for awhile.

If you've used either of these, pros/cons would be much appreciated!

  • I don't know what two you are comparing but any Diono is always my vote... It allows for tons of time rear facing and is so low profile that kids can often climb in on their own obviously when a bit older : I don't like the headwings models because they get in the way of an older child's shoulders thus shortening the length ofthe seat... But that's just a personal ppreference

  • I agree with the previous poster. I have Diono Radian RXT and Britax Boulevard. The DIono is much much easier to get LO in and out of rear-facing.
  • Just a comment on having another child in the futureat 3 years old your current LO will still be in the convertible car seat you choose now and you'll have to add an infant seat in the car for any new babies, so you may want to consider the size of the convertible when you're buying it.
