Activities!

in Babies: 3 - 6 Months
My daughter is now 11 weeks old. I have a bouncer, play mat, and swing and we do some play time on the floor on a blanket and try to go out a few times a week but I feel this worry I should be doing something else. I feel like this is such a hard age to do "activities" but I also feel like we should be doing more stuff - any tips on some other activities during the day??

    My kids love when I sit on a exercise ball and gently bounce them.

    I do a lot of kids songs with hand movements. Itsy Bitsy spider, Hokey Pokey, Wheels on the bus.  He always watches my hands intently and seems as if he wants to copy me. It is a bit early for him to copy me just yet, but he seems to really love watching me sing and dance around.

    My lo is 4.5 months and I am having a hard time keeping her entertained. She doesnt loke the bumbo seat or the jumperoo and hates being on her tummy. All she wants to do is stand and eat everything. I need a good website to find more activites

     We read tons of Dr. Suess and Eric Carle. I also read out loud chapters from whatever book I'm reading- Harry Potter, Anna Karenina, etc. DH has been reading out loud from the Game of Thrones series hahaha.

    This is very silly- but I like to act out scenes with stuffed animals. Make up the most random dialouge and have the animals dance around or go on adventures. DS stares at me like I'm insane, but it sure keeps him entertained for as long as I can keep it up.

    I also put on music and sing along or show off my sweet dance moves. Oh my, I am such a dorky mom!

    I suggest you subscribe to productiveparenting.com.  You can set it so the send you activities as often as you like and the adjust to the age of the child.  Or you can go to the website  and look at activities.  I like having them email me an activity everyday it gives me ideas of what to do.
