LD should be soundproof

So I had to spend tonight in ld because I had some spotting....anyways I can hear the women in labour screaming....oh god talk about walk up call. What have we gotten ourselves into? Lol

    Trust me! I know. I screamed so loud the moved people away from my room. There is someone is labor now screaming as well and I have two little boys trying to sleep!

    When I had my daughter a woman in the next LD room over was soooo loud. The nurses kept apologizing. I was completely terrified. Looking back, I think she was just unusually vocal.

    Wouldn't that be nice?!  When I was being wheeled back to the OR for my CS with DS, I was crying so hard and loud that I covered my head with the blanket and a pillow so I wouldn't scare other Moms.  Afterwards I was certain that I was the only one in the world that did that.  Best of luck with your spotting!

    I will say it was pretty cool (and emotional) when I heard the first cries of the baby next door to me in L&D when I was in labor with my first...the screams leading up to it? Terrifying!

    Yes I remember when I was there for a night I heard a lady screaming and I thought to myself help!!!!!!! Too late for that lol.

    When I was in the hospital for my inducement with DD, there was a woman on the ward that was thee loudest person I had ever heard. All night long she was screaming for Jesus and carrying on at the top of her lungs. The nurses were beyond over it, and one even mentioned she was afraid of what was going to happen when she actually started pushing! The next morning, my OB offered a Csection and I leaped at the chance!!

    lol, it will be ok. when I was in labor I was just in the fetal positions cussing at my son's father. The lady next to me was screaming. prayers your spotting stops.

    The hospital we're delivering at was recently remodeled.  They told us on our tour that the rooms are completely soundproof and I'm inclined to believe them because every room but one was full when we did our tour and we didn't hear a peep.  We were down in the room for at least 30 minutes but I guess I'll see for real when the big day comes.

    I was a big screamer when I delivered DD.  It was the worst pain of my life and took forever.  But ended up with beautiful healthy baby:)

    I didn't even think I was that loud pushing out DS2 but the nurse was cracking up because she said I scared the crap out of the lady next door.   I don't remember hearing anyone else screaming, ever.

    BFP 5/21/10, Missed m/c 7/5/10 at 11w3d (baby measured 7wks), D&C 7/7/10

    Aug/Sept 2010 - CD3&10 b/w & u/s, genetic testing, SA, HSG, & Lap/Hyst to remove septum

    12/09/10 BFP -- 7/05/11 DS born at 33w5d. Came home after 23d in NICU at 37w0d

    June 2012 - TTC #2! -- 10/05/12 BFP --  5/23/13 DS2 born at 37w1d! Yay full term!

    Surprise BFP 6/25/14 LO#3 due Feb2015!

    LoL. With DD I was screaming and moaning so loud that one of the nurses told me I was scaring the other pg women 1st epidural didn't work. I was like, Seriously?! I don't give a f! When they redid my epi all the pain went away and I was silent the rest of the time.

    You guys! Don't be silly! That's not screaming, it's just nurses joking around and people watching tv too loud.

     I didn't scream. It would've used up too much energy. But it is unsettling to hear. And I'm sure my moaning was no picnic for the nurses either.

    The doors at the hospital I delivered at were very thick and closed automatically. When they rolled me out for my c-section the one nurse told me not to mind the screaming. My husband had to wait in the hallway until they came to get him and he was very disturbed by all the screaming haha.
