looking for a donor
I am sad to report that we found out today that our donor, who we thought would pass all the tests with flying colors, did not do so well. Her AMH levels were just OK and then her ultrasound not so good. We are looking for a donor and was hoping someone can give me advice on where to look? We are on a list at UPMC but that is a very long list. sigh. After failed IVF and IUI and then deciding to move on to the next stage, and now more waiting. So frustrating. Any ideas on how to find a viable donor would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive. Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

Im so sorry to hear about your struggle. I am out in Philly but working through the process with an agency here. I am sure Pittsburgh has agencies to help or were you looking to do a private donor? Not sure how that works. Best of luck!
Have you tried any agencies? Our Fairy Godmother is one my clinic works with but there are tons of others out there.

January PAL Siggy Challenge: Good Advice
I started at RHS 8 years ago in my first marriage (got divorced) then went back to them in 3/11 with my new husband. I actually liked them for as little as I was there. I only did 2 IUI's with them then went to Magee because they had a "shared" DE program and it was less expensive.
I'm into my 5th month on the waiting list. They say 6 months so we will see. I had to redo a mamm so I had to wait 6 months for that too. I'm running out of patience...lol.
Are you shared or non shared? I know a girl who went to the Jones Institute at West Penn and only had a wait of 2 months. I think they have a donor database or something. Don't quote me on that. Maybe give them a call? I called to talk to them but I wasn't retesting for the 3rd time or changing clinics again. Not sure if I helped because I never looked into traveling or finding donors in a database.
Oh but if you go to RHS there is a waiting list there too

what area of the country are you from? Fl had like hardly no waiting list last time I checked but we did donor embryo because of the cost
