Re: Boppy, Mombo or BrestFriend???
I've only used the Boppy, but I love it! I would say it's been my most-used baby item.
We use it for:
- feeding (both when I breastfeed or when DH gives a bottle)
- holding baby especially when he was a newborn
- when he was small and would sleep on my chest I'd put it so his butt would run into it and he wouldn't slip down too far
- propping baby when he was younger
- tummy time when he was younger
- assisted sitting when he was wobbly at first (and now we set it backwards behind him in case he gets excited and falls backwards, he bumped his head on the floor a couple weeks ago so now I make sure he has something soft behind him)
- and we put it around the front of him when we sit him on the couch with us as a "toy tray"

All of this! I did use a Breastfriend with DS1 when I went to the LC and it was nice but maybe a bit easier in the newborn feeding stage but definitely not as versatile as the Boppy. I have a very small camping pillow which I used briefly under the Boppy to bolster for the first couple of weeks.

I have both, but I used the twin BrestFriend pillow exclusively for the first three months. The boppy wasn't high enough of a platform for my babies to breastfeed from (and I'm short). However, now that the babies are bigger, I use both types of pillows. I use the BrestFriend if I am sitting on a couch to breastfeed, but I use the boppy everywhere else (on the floor, in bed, in a regular chair, or if I need to go somewhere). The boppy is way less cumbersome and easier to grab and take with me.
Also, the boppy is very versatile--I can use it to breastfeed, bottle feed, or to prop the babies up when I read to them or when we are just hanging out on the floor.
Same hereloved them both and plan to use them again!
