This is my first time ever visiting natural birth forums but this is my third baby.
I had a csection for "failure to progress in the pushing stage" with my first because I was tired so I refused to push effectively. After four hours of that my dr decided it was time to do a CS.
My second I asked for an elective repeat cesarean.
I have asked my doctor about attempting VBA2C and she's on board.
So here I am and I have no idea where to even start researching and preparing.
Re: First timer but not
That's great she's on board, and welcome! ACOG recommeds a trial of labor for VBA2C, so I'm glad your doc is current on that. I mainly recommend 1) learn about natural labor, what's normal, what's not, etc 2) read VBAC birth stories. They're empowering and can show you all the variances of normal for achieving a VBAC. 3) consider hiring a doula for an extra boost of strength and advocacy for achieving your VBA2C in the hospital. 4) Figure out what you want out of birth.
You can absolutely do it!
