Yeast infection and progesterone question

I've used progesterone suppositories before and never had an issue. This morning I woke with some itching down there (only externally) - definitely feels like a yeast infection is coming on. Yay.

I read pregnant women are more prone to yeast infections due to estrogen levels, and I'm sure progesterone suppositories can exacerbate that.

Have any of you had this, and are OTC creams like Monistat safe? Should I call my RE first? I'd love to be able to just deal with it now, but don't want to do anything harmful, obviously.

2 losses: Nov '11 and Aug '12
Dx: Feb '13 - HSG shows clear tubes but minor diverticulitis; Borderline DOR; Low DHEA and low testosterone.
Moving on to IUI or IVF.

3.4.13:  Holy crap! Surprise natural BFP on cycle #19. EDD 11.12.13
We've got a peen.....it's a boy!

    Thank you! For the capsules, are they powder inside? Do I just stick the whole thing up there, or open it up?

    I had A LOT of irritation from using Crinone.  Not the first or second time, but all the times after.  It started with external and just got worse and worse.  They tested me for yeast infection and it always came up negative, but the diflucan (sp?) they gave me which is for a yeast infection seemed to help. 

    It was so bad that this needle phobe actually requested PIO this time around.  I had to have help with every single shot (DH is worse than I am)

    TTC #1 Since 4/2010, Cycle 30
    Positive for HLA-B27, I'm a mutant :p
    Testing - Me ok, gluten issue? DH - borderline count, low motility
    4/28/11 IUI#1 = BFP!(5/25), EDD 2/2/12 - m/c 5w3d
    7/3, 7/31, 9/25 - IUI#2-4=BFN
    IVF#1 - 1 blast = BFP!! (12/30), EDD 9/9/12, confirmed c/p 4w2d
    FET#1 3/2/12 - 2 blasts =BFP!! EDD 11/18/12, us#1 = twins! Confirmed m/c 5w6d
    4/20-surprise BFP and another c/p 4w2d
    FET#2 7/16/12 - 2 blasts = BFN
    FET#3 8/20/12 - 1 blast - BFP!! Beta #1-2=177, 354
    1st u/s 5w6d, one beautiful little HB :), 2nd u/s 146bpm
    baby girl born 5/10/13

    TTC#2 since 12/17/2014, Cycle 8
    Repeat Testing...FSH=12, AMH=3.8, AFC=28. 
    IUI#5 5/10/15- c/p?
    IVF#2 8/19/15 - cancelled due to cysts
    IVF#2 take two 10/2015 - 5 blasts frozen
    FET#4 12/11/2015 - BFN - 4 blasts remaining
    FET#5 2/18/16 - BFP!!!  Beta1-3, 126, 250, 745!!

    I had to take antibiotics at 6 weeks and of course even on probiotics got a yeast infection. There is some controversy on OTC meds and as I am sure we all know on this board that its better to be safe so I did not take them. I used a cup of apple cider vinegar in a warm bath. Water just high enough to cover the lady parts. I had a full blown yeast infection so I did this once at night, once the morning after and then one more time that same night. Went to the doctor the next day and she checked my pH and was normal. My systems decreased about 80 just after the first bath. I sat in it for 30 mins. Make sure the water is just warm not hot and air dry after if you can.
