DD2 has been fighting bed time like a mad woman these past few days. So much so that I've been taking DD1 to bed with me for those 20 minutes or so because, well, it would be plain mean of me to force her to endure her sister's screaming.
While I'm not a fan of letting my baby scream, I am definitely enjoying all the extra snuggles with DD1.
Re: Silver lining
aw! snuggles are the best!!
I hope she starts falling asleep more easily soon!
So do I. I'm a little worried that she may be going through the same thing that led us to taking her big sister out of her crib. I realllllly hope we're not there yet - Her room isn't baby proofed enough and I don't want to have to do it when I know we'll be out of here in 2 months.
I am with you, I absolutely wouldn't switch her now. I say give her another week or so to see if she readjusts.
Did you try moving her bedtime earlier or later?
We haven't. I don't think we're there yet. I am taking her to see the Dr this week to make sure the pneumonia is gone (though I have a feeling it's not) - I think I'll bring it up if things aren't back to normal, see if she has any suggestions. I just realllllly hope I don't have to transition her now. That would blow.
I hope she feels better soon! Poor girl can't catch a break. I hope you can keep her in the crib. Are you buying another crib? Or did you already have two? Or what are your plans when little man arrives?
We already have 2 cribs - DD1's converts to a toddler bed and she's still sleeping in it. However, that crib was a "long term lend" from a co-worker, and she asked me this week if she could give it to a friend who is due in August. So of course I said yes. I told her that her friend could also have my bassinet, so I guess worst case scenario is that I'll have to transition her into her big girl bed by November-ish.
Gah! My response didn't post!
She will probably be fine by November! We have a similar plan. Baby will go into our room for the first 6 months or so while J stays in the crib. Then, J will go to a toddler bed or a twin mattress on the floor.
