Help with child care transition

We joined the YMCA this past week. DD is a few months past two and has never been in a childcare setting. The 3 times we went this week she wound up screaming and crying to the point where the child care workers had to come get me. I tried to drop her off and leave, I tried playing with her a bit before leaving another day and then tried sitting in the room a few minutes while she played before leaving the last time. I'm also keeping my workout short so she's not in the childcare forever, but she seems to only last about 10 minutes before losing it. We talk about going to the Y and that she will play in the toy room with kids while mommy goes to excercise. Any ideas on helping her acclimate better?

    Kind of along the same lines as the pp, does she have some sort of token from you?  Even more simply, I would draw a heart on my DS's hand and kiss it.  I told him if he were scared or nervous, he could kiss the heart and it was like kissing mommy.  It worked and he still asks for a heart if we are trying something new.
