Bed rest at 38 weeks

My blood pressure was high today so the dr. Put me on bed rest, at least until my next appt. in 4 days.   It surprised me that at 38 weeks I wa even put on bed rest, but I know it is what's best for my little man.  Has anybody else experienced this late in pregnancy?  I have no clue what they will do at my next appt.  I will be 38w5d.

    I was put on bedrest at 37w5d for high blood pressure. Had my LO at 38w3d!

    They're probably doing that so that might avoid inducing or c section I bet.

    I was just put on bed rest yesterday at 37w3d for high blood pressure. My next appt is Tuesday and I will be begging him to induce because I can't miss 2 or 3 more weeks of work in addition to maternity leave! Sucks to not get paid for any maternity leave...

    I was put on bed rest at 37w exactly for the same thing. Still on light bed rest at 38w1d. My blood pressure has been really crazy lately, sometimes sky high and others perfect. I have also been spilling protein in my urine for a while now.. MW said I definitely will nt go past my due date. I've been trying to naturally induce myself for a week now bc I'm scared that any day they'll send me to be induced!

    Bed rest helps! The more I rest, the better I feel. But definitely doesn't stop me from nesting!

    Me too. I'm only 36weeks 3 days and put on bed rest because of high blood pressure. I know my baby is pretty big already and she will be perfectly fine if I absolutely have to be induced, but i'm not ready. Ideally I want her to cook for another 10 days. So I rest and relax and think happy thoughts.

    Yea ill be 37wks Tom and put on bed rest for bp. After 24hr observation in hospital collecting urine I was sent home to follow up on Monday. My doc says he would like the baby to stay in as long as possible as long as I wasn't  spilling protein or experiencing HELLP syndrome.  So never can tell about timelines.

    What state do you live in? In nj you can collect up to 4 wks before delivery with doctors note.
