Past due date

So my due date was on the 3/3 and obviously I'm way passed that, I saw my Gynae on Wednesday but he said we'd have to do a c sec because I'm not dialated or even effaced so induction is out. But now I have flu so I was told to treat that first before they can operate me today. Now it turns out I must wait another week for the flu to be totally over..... I don't think I can take another week, I cried so much when I was told to wait another week

    Is that true? If you're not dilated or effaced they automatically do csection? That makes no sense to me! I'm just askin cause I am very soft but no other changes so far not even a lousy centimeter last Monday. I recall my sister having NO changes either and still having a successful induction with a vaginal birth.

    Do you or the baby have other issues to need a csection? This seems odd to do just b/c past date alone

    I was induced with dd1 and wasn't effaced or dialated. I delivered her vaginallu after 15 hours. I'd ask again I wouldn't want a section unless I absolutely needed one.

    I can't imagine how you feel right now being sick! I know you don't feel well... but there's still a chance for labor to start naturally, or to have a successful induction unless there are other medical/health factors that we are unaware of. I really would advocate for yourself on this one to try and have the baby vaginally.

    I would rather not risk giving my LO the flu, and I'd much rather wait in hopes labor progresses naturally. I'm not really sure why your doc jumped right to a c/s 6 days overdue. Good luck.

    That's exactly what I thought too but he mentioned something about inducing me only to end up in a c section anyway, which is something I don't want. I'm hoping I go into labor whilst waiting for the flu to completely die out just need the strength to be patient

    Just that I have low blood and he said my womb is still very closed. My mom also mentioned that LO is still sitting very high
