What do I do?!? panicking here.

So since my uncle died, my grandma who is normally the person who watches Liam. She's out of town.

My other baby sitter, got that call for lungs and is at Stanford still.

Everyone else is busy, my dads working. I can't trust the one person who isn't busy and they aren't letting MH call out for 3 hours.

I guess the only choice I have is to leave early but I have a feeling I'm gonna be written up for it. I'm a great employee and I'm always here usually. The only times I have called out or do call out is for medical stuff. My company has been pretty lenient but my new manager is a B!TCH and is giving me a hard time about being 5 minute late.. back in November.

Idk what I want from anyone since the obvious choice is I'm gonna have to leave but I am so upset about being written up.

Help.. what would youdo? how bad is a write up? whyyyy me! lol

Every place I've ever worked has had to let me have time off in the case of a death in the family. I'm not sure if I just lucked out and they all had the same policy or if that's something all companies do. Either way, they really should let you out. I would go and risk it. It's not like you feel like going to get your nails done. This is a serious thing. I'm so sorry about your uncle

They do but I'm not sure if an uncle is on our policy.

Politely explain the situation and be apologetic. If there is truly nobody else, then you have to watch her. Give them as much notice as possible to give them a chance to cover you. GL

Who is watching your LO right now? If push comes to shove I would leave and would hope that my boss would understand. This stuff happens when you have a baby.

A month or so ago, my mom was really sick and nobody else had watched LO or was even available too. My mom called me an hour before I had to be at work to tell me she couldn't watch her. I ended up calling off and apologizing profusely for it. My boss was actually understanding about it and i was paranoid because I felt I was already on her shiiit list.

This stuff happens when you are a parent and sometimes employers are more understanding than you might think.

my new manager isn't. no one else has watched him so i was having some SERIOUS anxiety. I got it figured out and I have enough pto to get off 2 hours early.
