My appointment last week, I asked my OB about traveling in the 3rd tri (I hear it is safe to fly during the 1st and 2nd tri). My OB told me no flying once I get into my 3rd tri and if I want to travel I can't travel further than 3 hours from home (by car).
From other posts I have ready that flying is ok until about 36 weeks. BUT, look into flight restrictions for pregnant women. Some airlines won't let you travel after certain weeks. Some even require a doctors permission to fly.
You can also try to do a search on TB about this question. I have ready plenty of posts about flying that would probably be more helpful than what I know.

I flew when I was 6 wks and again when I was 17 wks. It's really not an issue unless your high risk. My Dr. said no flying after 36wks but prior to that car trips and flying were fine, just make a point to walk around a bit every once in a while and drink plenty of fluids. It's always a good idea to check with your OB anyway since everyone's situation is unique to their own circumstances.
Me 41 DH 46 Not actively ttc, surprise BFP on 1/6/11! 4/1/11 m/c our sunshine at 16wks after complications from CVS test. TTC #2 **5th cycle 12/6/11 BFP! Missed m/c at 9 weeks 1/21/12, trisomy 14. Two Chemical PG 3/12&7/12 ** BFP 8/16/12 beta #1 148! beta#2 407 beta #3 4000 u/s 9.10 1 lovely hb 126, Baby Boy is due 04/28/13!!
Any time. My OB told me when I was pg with DS that she didn't have flying restrictions in a healthy pregnancy. But that anytime after 36 weeks there's always a chance of going into labor. So I stopped my work travel at that point.
Generally people start frowning on it at 32-34 weeks, depending on the airline and your doctor. Although airline cabins are pressurized, the changes in pressure upon takeoff and landing could precipitate your water breaking if you are close to going into labor anyway.
I flew at 17 weeks (long flight, 4+ hours) and was fine. I wore compression socks to keep my ankles from swelling and they worked like a charm.
I would not want to fly now, believe you me. Just driving around is getting a little uncomfortable at this point.
