Stuffed nose

Dd has a uti and. Bad cold with it. It's her first one, she's 11.5 mos. she won't let me near her nose with the aspirator but its so blocked and having trouble sleeping. I've got her cool most humidifier in but the room feels stuffier when I go it. Is it supposed to be like that?

    Yes, the room will feel more humid (stuffier) so don't worry about that. You can also elevate one side of her crib to keep her head elevated. My pedi recommended this although it doesn't work for DD because she rolls around a lot and winds up with her head on the low side of the crib which is counterproductive. You can try saline nose drops. My friend managed to get her daughter to laugh when she gets the nose drops.... DD just cries and fights. The Nosefrida is an amazing aspirator and (in my opinion) easier than the bulb aspirator. You might try that if DD is fighting you. I will say that DH says that none of this stuff really helps. He just recommends buying a lot of tissues. Hope your LO feels better soon. T
