PP Weightloss

Is there anyone who BF and had trouble losing weight while BFing, that lost their PP weight after they weaned?  I am really struggling to lose the last 20 lbs of my pregnancy weight.  I try to zumba at least 30 minutes every other day and I don't drink anything besides water (a cup of coffee in the am)/watch what I eat carefully (esp since LO has the milk protein intolerance, so I'm on a DE diet)...

I love walking/jogging but the weather in my area is not nice at all lately, so I have not been able to get out with LO.  I have a treadmill that I've tried to use during LOs naps but he is a cat napper and never naps long enough for me to actually get a good walk/jog.

  • jeez it really seems like you are doing everything you can, the only advice i can give is when LO is occupied on the floor or in bouncer maybe to continue to get some time on the treadmill. I have recently busted out the bike trainer and have done what i can while LO sleeps (she has some pretty good naps so i havent run into this issue) but the hubby has had to get his routine in while she hangs out and plays on the floor.

  • It could definitely be hormonal. For months I was holding on to the last 10 pounds, and figured it was because of BFing, especially since my supply has never been great. However, I quit my job and my routine/diet changed and the last of the wait plus a couple of extra pounds came off within a few weeks. I walk and stretch a couple times a week, but that's it. Maybe you just need to change your routine up?

  • I'm having the same trouble as you--trying to get the last pounds off and wondering if this pooch on my belly will EVER go away.  I'm concerned about getting back into heavy running again for fear it will destroy my (already small) milk supply.  I have just about come to terms with not losing it until DD is a year old and I'm no longer BFing
