swaddle problems

LO is 4 months old and has been swaddled and has slept through the night since he was 2 months old. We started swaddling because he would throw his arms and wake himself up. Now, he is starting to break out of his swaddle and it wakes him up. I tried the one arm and he kept fighting to get the other arm out. Suggestions?

    Get the swaddle strap ... Google it. Worked wonders for DS.

    I'm trying to transition my LO out of a swaddle, and I've been one arm out for quite sometime, however two arms out is a disaster, so I just ordered Merlin's Sleepsuit, hoping that it will help us transition from a swaddle. You may want to check it out. Alot of people have good things to say about it.

    I also just ordered the Merlin sleepsuit. I had to order large since small was out if stock so DD still a little small for it. I can't wait to stop swaddling her! She still has the startle reflex so she will wake herself up. I hope the magic suit works!!

    I am having the same problem! I just ordered the Zipadee-Zip after hearing rave reviews from friends.  Here is the website: https://zipadeezip.com/ .  I should get it any day now and will post a review when I use it.  I am praying it will help as my 4 mo old has decided she no longer wants to nap more than 30-45 mins or sleep more than 2 hours at a time without waking up being bright eyed and bushy tailed.  Good luck!

    Try the zipadeezip. It's suppose to offer arm resistance so they don't wake themselves. I have one and I'm transitioning him during daytime naps. His startle reflex is still too strong for nighttime, but someone suggested putting hair ties on the arms to make them smaller. You can google to see what it is.
    Sept 2013 started TTC#2 (never got PP period so hoping for the first egg to drop)
    Jan 2014 - diagnosed POF (Premature Ovarian Failure) and told pregnancy not possible without egg donor because my ovaries would never function again with my hormone levels (FSH 136, LH 98.6, AMH <.03, estradiol 0, HCG 7) - using acupuncture, chiropractic care and TCM herbs / supplements
    March 11, 2014 ovulated despite every doctors prognosis!!!
    Oct 2014 hormones (FSH 48, Estradiol 89, HCG 1) not good, but heckuva lot better!

    Nov. 16, 2015 FET of single adopted 5AA embryo - BFN

    Sorry, I totally didn't see your post before posting mine, or perhaps we posted at the same time. 

    Sept 2013 started TTC#2 (never got PP period so hoping for the first egg to drop)

    DS2 started breaking loose at the same age.  At that point, we started weaning him gradually from the swaddle, doing one arm out, then both, then a Halo sleepsack.  The sleepsack was a great transition, as it provided some snugness and confinement, while still allowing his arms to be free.  Plus, a wearable blanket is much safer than a loose blanket.
