What are your pet names for your LO? Is there a reason behind them?
My pet name for my LO is Sweet Potato, haha. I don't really know when it started exactly. SNL's version of Ariana Huffington that appears on Weekend Update says "Oooooh Seth, my little sweet potato!" I do the same thing (accent and all) but say "Oooh August, my little sweet potato!" when he gets upset. Or at least I did when I started. Now I just call him sweet potato no matter what mood he's in, haha.
p.s. Again, sorry to all of you for the giant sig picture. I've tried fixing it a thousand times and have even taken the html code out of my sig but it's still there. Sorry :[.
Re: Pet Names for LO
I've been calling him G lately, in this context: "We're getting dressed...LIKE A G! We're washing the dishes...LIKE A G!" and I sing it to him. SO hates it. Hahahaa.
I usually call him bumpkin otherwise.
SCANDAL!
Lol, my sister calls August a G or G Unit aaalll the time and my H hates it too.
we call ours Addy Bugs, Bugsy, Baby girl, munchkin, bugsy girl....
bug came from daddy when she first came home and after swaddling he said she looked snug as a bug. not orriginal, but it just stuck. so she's our little bug.

Oh! Thank you so much for posting how you pronounce your last name! I always thought fries like French fries but figured that wasn't right so in my head I always said it like free'ez kinda like Frias with an e. I am too afraid to just come out and ask. LOL anyway... Gonna go hide in a corner now.
Frias is a first! That hilarious! People mispronounce it all the time. I just tell them "It's spelled hot, but pronounced cold!"
I call DD "Chicken". Her hair was constantly super fluffy for the first few months and I've been strangely obsessed with fluffy chickens for years (DH wants to buy a mini-farm and I said I'll only do it if I can have fluffy chickens and a milking goat). So, she's been my stand-in fluffy chicken until I can have the real thing.
DS has been "Bug" since he was about a year old. He used to crawl into the blankets from the bottom and snuggle in completely covered, so I used to say he was like a bed bug. Now I tell him his sister is going to eat him because chickens eat bugs
The fact that she grabs his hair and growls definitely helps sell this through.
Sam is Sammy, baby bear, Sammy bear, buddy bear, sweet pea, buster, baby boy, little love....
Baby #2!
I have SO many names for my boys and I use the names for both boys. Sweetie, sweetie pie, muffin, pumpkin, love bug, lovie, baby boy, baby, babe, monkey, chunky monkey, baby bear, love of my life, honey, honey bear... I could go on forever! Very rarely do I call them by their real names lol.
When I ask DS1 what his name is, he says "baby." Like, hes serious. He really thinks his name is baby cause I call him that the most.
Oh, we also call DS2 "baba." Right after he was born and DS1 met him for the first time, he called him "baba." Not sure if was trying to say baby? But the nn stuck.
