anyone NOT rolling over yet?

My LO hasn't rolled over yet. She is a belly sleeper so I know she's content on her belly but pedi says she's just lazy because she will NOT roll over I've tried to coax her over and all that. Just wondered if I'm the only one or if others haven't rolled yet. I'm not worried or anything cause I know she will eventually! Just curious to see who else is in the club?

Re: anyone NOT rolling over yet?

  • My DS is about a month older than yours and today was the first day I've ever seen him roll back to belly. I've seen him roll belly to back about four times, but most of the time when he's on his belly he just lays his head down and fusses.

  • All 3 of my kids never rolled over.  I think they're big fat belly's are in the way, ha!  (No seriously.)  I think Reid has rolled over a handful of times.  Maybe.

  • Not here either. Over six months and she refuses. She rolls over from side to side but put her on her belly and two things happen, she losses it or falls asleep. Two very opposite extremes.

Today is our 6m appt, I'm expecting my pedi to call her lazy.

  • Luci has done it but doesn't bother with it, because she likes to sit up and hates being on her back or her tummy.

  • I know everyone says not to worry, but this post makes me feel much better! DS will be on his belly and roll if he's on the bed. If he's on the floor he gets really close and then lays his head down. He will go to his side, but he has a sister that will bring him toys. I put the toys slightly out of reach and its a fight to keep DDs hands off them.

  • W rolled both ways around 3 months and did it several times for a few days in a row. Since then he hardly ever rolls. He just started doing back to front again, but if he's on his tummy he would much rather fuss and put his head down then roll back over by himself. It's like he forgot how to do it or just doesn't have enough patience. So I'm sure your LO's COULD do it, but they probably just figure they don't need to.

  • We are only rolling tummy to back over here. Since starting this at 5.5 months she will immediately flip when placed on her stomach.

No rolls from back to tummy yet and definitely no rolling around the room going on! She will be 6 months Monday.

  • has rolled tummy to back maybe half a dozen times and hasn't rolled from back to belly yet.

Still hates tummy time with the fire of a thousand suns.

  • DS is 6 months 1 week and has only rolled from belly to back maybe four times. He rolled from his back to belly once. I missed it though! He was on his back while I took DD to the bathroom and when I came back his was on his belly.

Honestly, before that and still now he barely rolls onto his side.

  • DS has a few times but mostly belly to back (he hates being on his tummy). We try to coax him but he has no interest. If he's down long enough though he'll start to move himself on the floor and do a belly flop/worm crawl to get himself around. I think he's just lazy and he's chunky so I think his belly gets in the way! Haha!

    I wouldn't worry too much about it! I know I'm not! ;P

  • Dd1 was 6.5 months.

    Ds was 7 months.

Dd2 was like 2 weeks ago, 6 months.

  • Never rolled back to tummy

Rolled tummy to back twice. Once was two months ago, and once a week ago. Nothing since.
