Mine is that I took my four-month-old to a hockey game last night.  I didn't think it was flameful until I got told off by three different women.  I'm still not sorry.  He was watching and laughing the whole time, slept in the car all the way home, didn't wake up when I moved him to bed, and slept until 5 in my arms.  So BOOM.  Parenting.

My other one is that I'm wearing FI's boxers today because I was too lazy to walk to the parking lot to get the clean laundry out of the trunk.

I have several gems this am. And will post more as they come to me.

    1. Most days despite the fact that I love him, I want to punch my H in the windpipe. And I sometimes daydream about it.

    2. I hate Matt Lauer with the fire of a thousand suns.

    3. I  just ate 2 twinkies.

My FFFC is that I was so frustrated with H last night for spitting his paci out (over and over and over) that I threw it across the room. Like a toddler.

You are definitely not the only person to ever do this.  I felt so bad afterwards.  I still have no idea where it went though.

I totally threw a blanket across the room at about 3 this morning. There may have also been a little foot-stomping outside the nursery door.

My FFFC: I ate an entire bag of Soft Batch cookies in 2 days... and I still want more.

WTF, IM? Was it late? You can do that shiz with babies, maybe not toddlers.

My FFFC: I doubt it's flameworthy but on non hair washing days, I wear a shower cap....like an old lady. Stick out tongue I also have a Squatty Potty in my bathroom, love it, and am tempted to start giving it as gifts....to the right people, of course.

It started at 7, which I guess is late for most babies, but Bird never goes down until 9.  He just, won't.  And it's hockey.  The game was over by 9:30, even going to a shootout.  He fell asleep during the third period and only woke up in the team store long enough to puke on a $125 jersey that I now own. Angry

Also, I must know.  WHAT is a Squatty Potty?

  • I second "What is a squaty potty?"

My FFFC: I'm letting the three year old I nanny watch Shrek while I pump in the bathroom on the toliet bumping and eating leftover chipotle.

  • I sent ds to daycare yesterday wearing new robeez. When we got home and took them off, I had left the tissue paper that comes in them wadded up inside the shoe. I didn't notice when we were rushing out the door. I just picture his toes being crushed all day long.

I've never been to a hockey game. But, we do go to NBA games often (DH's family has season tickets to the spurs). It is SO loud I couldn't imagine taking H. Sometimes it's even too loud for me. The lateness of it wouldn't bother me.

NBA games are WAY too loud for me.  They always seem echo-y.  Hockey doesn't for some reason.  Maybe the giant coats and maple crullers suck up all the noise?

In seriousness, though, I should have mentioned that I only brought him because it was a client's private box.  Again, the noise wasn't really a concern, but feeding him was.  I'm so nervous to be feeding him and someone jump up to yell and hit him accidentally.  BUT, my FFFC should also be that this only applies to hockey and I am zero concerned about bringing him to a baseball game in a few weeks.  I just thought it was strange to get yelled at in the lobby area for the club seats.

  • Ok so I don't hate, I strongly dislike...mostly her holier than you attitude! And a few years back she was telling her audience how to cut back on spending in this economy and told them the best way to do this was to cut back on tipping, more specifically tip 10% to your servers...oh no you didn't! I was making $2.68 at the time.

also IM we loving professional sports and will be taking C to many of Rockies baseball games soon and we cannot wait! No flames here!

  • Also waiting to hear what a squatty potty is
  • Good confessions today ladies. I'm loving this post today!

Jenner- I'm a fellow strong disliker of Oprah.

Heres mine. SO is in school to be a Nurse Practitioner. I write all his papers for him. Only for his stupid busy work classes though. Well and his research class cause I'm a nerd and actually enjoy that stuff. This allows him to focus more on the material he really needs to learn. I'm making all A's so far. I don't feel guilty about it at all. Flame away.

  • I dislike Oprah too and who is she to give budgeting advice? Do you even make a budget when you have 50 billion dollars? If I pick up a book and its in her book club, I refuse to read it.

We have been watching Walking Dead, just started watching and are catching up. DS is awake sometimes. I cover his eyes during the zombie parts. I didn't think it was that bad but a lady at the hair salon yesterday looked horrified.

If going to a hockey game made you a bad mom then I'm the worst... I took M when he was only 6 weeks! I definitely got some side eyes and head shakes, but like you, M clearly liked it. He watched the players skating so closely.

    Lol about your FI's boxers!

Only because it was a Bruins game.

Another.  I use vacant guest rooms to pump.  I also poop in them.

    My FFFC:

I sometimes wish I could be in a Krispy Kreme eating contest or a peanut MM eating contest because I want an excuse to eat a crazy quantity and be proud of myself for it.

Also regarding watching Walking Dead with LO, my LO is totally captivated by the TV, which I worry could be a problem later. I took a picture and sent to my mom, and she said, "Is Seinfeld really the best thing for him to be watching?" I responded, "Absolutely," which was on the milder end of the possible responses that were going through my head.

I did notice that... I was trying to get him to play with a toy but he kept turning his head to look at the TV. Wicked Tuna was on lol. Also, don't sweat what your mom said. Seinfeld is classic comedy. When he's 4 he can yell No soup for you! In the sandbox.

M does this too so I've been trying to cut down on my tv addiction during the day. He just locks on to it when it is on. I can't distract him with anything else until it is off!

  • But... but... TWD is educational.  He needs to know how to be a baby in the zombie apocalypse.  Judith will teach him.

Spoiler alert:  The answer is Daryl.  The answer is always Daryl.

And this makes me want to start something....

  • I've cried during Ellen, but I don't usually watch tv at all.

Im a little tired of Oprah too.

    ...on to me...

"bean" "peanut" "sticky" "rainbow" ... I get tired of hearing those terms...

I'm watching halfway through season 2. I watch it on my phone while cuddling Arianna to get her to nap.

My FFFC, when the doctor gave me the option of buying probiotics yesterday, or mixing yogurt and water, I went with yogurt and water. It's cheaper.

well I seriously just laughed out loud at the book club thing...you're awesome!

  • I have a suitcase full of lingerie, 90% of it has the tags still on. SO hasn't seen any of it and I no longer have the lady balls to put any of it on.

  • I like eating peanut butter bread with spaghetti on it. Just fold it up and eat it like a taco. It's one of my favorite foods.

  • I'm disappointed we haven't had any crazy "I know better than my doctor" posts on here lately.  Only because I'm getting a new computer and I found this amazing gif.

Thanks! I just refuse to give that woman anything. Also her books are NMS. Its always some intense story about someone overcoming adversity and you're supposed to cry at the end blah blah blah. I am not a puppies and rainbows type, Walking Dead is exhibit A lol.

We took LO to the Nuggets v Bulls game (private suite) a couple weeks ago. Worst. Decision. Ever. NBA games, especially televised ones, are way too loud. I spent almost the entire game in the bathroom with him feeling like an awful mother.

Only have a minute ill be on tonight after DS is down for the night well two hours but I just wanted to say that I know what a squatty potty is!!

It's basically a stool u rest ur feet on while sitting on the toilet. It basically puts u in a squaring position and is supposed to help with all sorts of GI issues like constipation, etc. bc scientifically/medically speaking we've been squatting more as a species than sitting on a toilet. And supposedly GI issues have risen ever since we started using toilets :P

Can't link to the page but google it and I'm sure it'll pop up right away for you :

ETA: didn't see the thread up a bit on the board that explains this already sorry for the repeat!

My FFFC: I was so exhausted the other night that I forgot to put the bottle back in the fridge or make any fresh bottles. And I kept reaching for the same bottle on my nightstand to feed DS. All.night.long. For like six hours straight :/ I'm so lucky that he didn't get sick! I was horrified when I woke up D:
