Re: ? ? Last February's Hopeful Hearts Check-In ? ?
Hi everyone- I'm sad it's the last check in but ready to move forward. You ladies are an amazing group and I wish each one of you the best of luck.
As for me, I started BCP's on Wednesday (a little early I think) for a May 13-17 estimated retrieval date for IVF #2. I'm going to start taking CoQ10 (even if it doesn't do anything but make me feel better) and start acupuncture again also. I know some of you are cycling again in April/May so I'm looking forward to checking in on everyone. A huge thank you to Liz and Daysie for leading us through February and being amazing check in ladies!
QOTD: Fall is my favorite season but spring is a close second. I'm looking forward to clearing out my side porch (screened in) and putting in a bench seat beneath the windows and just making it a peaceful place to go and hang out. I also can't wait to start being able to grill dinners and eat outside on our patio that we put in last year!
Thank you to both Daysie and Liz for leading our groups check-ins! I have enjoyed getting to know everybody and it is great to see so many positives. As you probably know from my other posts, beta hell came to an end on Wednesday. I haven't started bleeding yet so I am not really sure what to expect as far as that goes. Having my first cycle cancelled doesn't compare to beta hell's ups and downs. Having the "you're pregnant" ripped away was devastating especially with DH out of town. I am moving on. I have my WTF appt on Monday and looking forward to that. I have also contacted CCRM and made an appt for a phone consultation in April for a second opinion. Hopefully, I will be cycling in the April group with another FET. It has been fun rooting all of you on and I appreciate everyone's kind words. To those of you still in beta hell, FX for you and hoping for miracles your way!
QOTD: Favorite thing about spring is my birthday in May
No spring break for me

I am so sad this is our last check in, but I guess it is a good thing so we can all move on to the next step in our journey. Thank you Daysie and Liz4Paws for taking the time to do this each week.
Most of you probably saw my post yesterday... beta had dropped and nothing visible in the uterus. Hubby and I just cuddled and cried and watched tv on the couch yesterday. Not sure what's next for us since we had to borrow the money for this cycle and we're kinda maxed out. We've agreed to not even discuss it for a few days so we're aren't jumping into any emotional decisions.
I've just started an Etsy store to help fund our IVF debts & future endeavors and when there isn't a need there I'll be giving the funds to missions and families that need it. It is www.etsy.com/shop/HopeAndMasonJars. (I had to be kinda vague on the store page b/c we're not public about IVF.)
I'm so happy for all of you experiencing miracles and keep you ALL in my prayers. I'm so thankful for all of you that have shown me support thru the good times and the not so good times.
QOTD: My favorite thing about Spring is that everything no longer looks dead! It makes my job (photography) a lot better when I have pretty greens and colors in the background of my shots! Haha!!

Hello Hopefuls,
I had my first u/s on Wednesday and the sac looked great and it was in the right place. I go in on Tuesday to hear the heart beat, it almost doesnt feel real yet. My symptoms have come and go so that keeps me worried but I know it is out of control now and all I can do it pray! It also doesnt help the fact that I have had strep, sinus infection and now an ear infection, I may be speaking too soon but I think I would take m/s over how I feel anyday!
The doctor said my EDD is 11/4/2013
QOTD: What is your favorite thing about Spring? What are you most looking forward this Spring? Do you have any Spring break plans?
I like the first blooms and the storms (occasional)!
I would like to finish painting my bathroom.... I have painted so many test colors its ridiculous.... guess what, I have decided to paint it the same color! I am also going to dig up all the plants I planted last year and rearrange them! No Spring break, just when the snow melts and we have free weekends.
Thank you Daysie and Liz for the check ins!

Ladies, it has been a pleasure. Thank you so much for the opportunity. I just want to give everyone a giant (((hug)))
A quick update on me here, and my last one. We had our first u/s on Tuesday and we saw a nice gestational sac with a great looking yolk sac. She said everything looked great! I'm still a little cautious, my last loss happened at 8 weeks, so we still have jumps to get through, but things are looking much better this time around. We have our second u/s on Tuesday and we should be able to see a hb.
I'd like to wish all my hopefuls moving forward nothing but the best of luck and know that you all will continue to be in my T&P's.
It's been so great to have you girls to lean on this month! Thank you Liz and Daysie for taking charge of the check ins. I started BCP last night to prepare for an April FET. FX!!
I wish all those with BFPs this month a happy and healthy 9 months! To the rest of us, big hugs and all the best moving forward towards our goal. I'll be here cheering us on!
Spring is my favorite time of year!! I love being outside on these beautiful days working in my yard. It's a beautiful day today and I'm going back out to start the beginnings of my vegetable garden.
m/c #2 missed m/c discovered 12/11/08 @ 8w3d :: d&c 12/15/08

Thank you so much for going on this journey with me. Huge hugs to everyone that needs them right now. And congrats to those with BFP's. I will continue to keep all of my fellow Hopeful Hearts in my thoughts and prayers. You are all such wonderful, strong women and I am so glad that I've had the chance to get to know you. I look forward to continuing my journey with some of you, and lurking/rooting on the rest of you.
We had 2 very nice betas last weekend. Out office only does 2 betas, and the schedules the first OB ultrasound 2 weeks out, so we are just waiting again. Hoping everything looks good at that time. Out ultrasound is on the 18th, which I have just been informed is "Goddess of Fertility Day" so hopefully that is a good sign.
QOTD: No spring break plans. I love when the weather starts to warm up and everything turns green and bright again. I'm just looking forward to getting some projects done around the house and spending my weekends on the front porch or in the backyard with my dogs. And grilling out :-)
We got beta 2 today and it is 1288! 1st ultrasound is scheduled for 3/20. I am still in shock but so excited!
QOTD. Favorite part of spring is that it will be getting warm again :
Thanks Liz and Daysie! And thank you to all the hopeful hearts who shared this journey. You guys have been great.
We're cautiously optimistic and waiting until 3/18 for our first ultrasound.
QOTD: I love spring, but am really looking forward to it this year. We're going to Florida for a week to see my baby sister graduate and do a big family vacation. If everything sticks I won't be able to go on any Disney rides, but we will be able to tell the family about BabyClon!
Ticker Warning!
Thanks for all of the words of wisdom and support through this journey. It really means a lot! We had our first ultrasound on Tuesday which showed we are having twins! The doctor saw both heartbeats. We go back for our 8 week ultrasound on the 20th and she said we should be able to hear the heartbeats then!
QOTD: I love that first day of Spring when you wake up and you feel the warmth from the sunlight in your window and the sound of the birds chirping outside your window! The first bloom of flowers and warm air!
Good luck to everyone!
Hi ladies,
thank you so much for all the support! I'm happy I was part of this wonderful group. Thank you so much to our check-in leaders, you did a fantastic job!
Congratulations to all our BFP's and lots of hugs to those who need them.
After the ectopic scare, I had some bleeding yesterday, called the doctor and went for a scan today. The doctor confirmed that I'm miscarrying but without any complications and there's only blood in the uterus. Although having a 2nd m/c is devastating, I was, in a way, relieved that it's all resolving by itself and I didn't need surgery or medications. I was so terrified of all possible complications of an ectopic, that suddenly an m/c seemed to be the lesser evil. I'll go for another scan on tuesday and hopefully I will be able to do an FET in April.
QOTD: I love those few days in spring where everything goes from grey and brown to green and colorful as in a magic trick. The world seems to be full of hope again somehow.
Thanks ladies! You've been a great group to cycle with! I'm still in limbo with beta #6 today coming back at 213 ~ which is doubling from 103 on Wed. Ultrasound on Monday and hopefully there will be something good to see! Otherwise we will cycle next in June.
QOTD: Love in spring the first time I can open the windows in the house and be outside without a coat. Here in Illinois you never know when you'll be able to do that...could be March, April or even May!!
Removed ovarian cysts in Mar 2010 & removed left ovary in May 2010
TTC since Oct 2011
Sep 2012 IUI #1 Natural cycle BFN
Sep 2012 IUI #2 Natural cycle BFN
Oct 2012 IUI #3 Natural cycle BFN
Nov 2012 removed uterine polyp
Feb 2013 IVF #1 ER 2/8: 13R,6M,6F, 3dt of 1 6-cell & 1 7-cell embie, beta hell resulted in blighted ovum.
June 2013 IVF #2 cancelled due to lining too thick
July 2013 IVF #2.1 ER 7/9, 9R,4M,2F, 3dt of 2 8-cell embies, BFN
I had beta 2 on Wed. It was 1194. Up from 472 on Monday. I am very pleased with that, and thankfully no spotting or bleeding since last weekend. My US can't come soon enough to ease my mind a little!
No big plans for me for spring break. I'll be using that time to get caught up on school assignments and write a paper. So much fun!!!
I can't believe it's the last February hearts check in! I feel like I just had my first post.
Today I am 5w5d! We had our first ultrasound on Wednesday and I am overjoyed to say ITS TWINS!!! Double the trouble and I can't wait!
Best of luck to all the ladies!!!
I have been out of the loop and off the internet for the last week. Self preservation to stop me searching for 1 in a million chance of miracles happening after beta drops etc.
I am currently suffering the tail end of mc. My betas dropped and dropped and it's over. Very upset as we hoped DE would solve our problem, but apparently old crappy eggs were not the only issue.
Thanks to everyone for being such a great group, it was nice to be part of it.
Congrats to all the BFPs and a happy healthy 9 months.
Good Luck to the rest of us in our next steps, whatever that may be

TTC #2 March - August 2015 = all BFNs
Prep for FET #1: Aug 2015: found "mass" in uterus on saline sonogram; scheduled a hysteroscopy to remove.
Sept 2015: Hysteroscopy: mass turned out to be scar tissue(?), all removed. Recheck saline sonogram 2 weeks later showed "stuff" still in uterus (more scar tissue? remnants from surgery? Will see if clears with a period). Recheck saline sonogram 1 week later: all clear! Start Lupron and Estrace. Follow up u/s 2 weeks later: uterine lining only 5mm, add in patches. Follow up u/s 1 week later: uterine lining = 4.3mm (argh!), stop estrace and patches and start estradiol injections twice/week. Follow up u/s 2 weeks later: uterine lining = 5mm
Instructed to keep on estradiol injections and recheck in 5 days = lining still at 5mm. Need to make a decision - go for it? Or toss in the towel w/ this cycle and start all over again next year with a new protocol. Decided to go for it as we had 17 frosties; what have we got to lose??
12/2/15 = transferred 1 perfect Grade B blast
12/9/15 = HPT - BFP!!!!

I am going to miss you girls! But it's true i am so incredibly happy for all of you with ongoing pregnancys and heartbroken for those of you who got BFN this cycle
Those of us who are still in 2WW me included--- I wish you all the best!!! To update everyone- my ET on Friday was amazing. I really didn't feel any pain. Who Blastocysts were transferred- I have at least 3 to freeze and two that are still questionable....will find out on Monday.
First beta scheduled for 3/18. Second 3/20- they dn't give me results of first until the second beta so I really want to cheat and POAS but my husband doesn't want me to! Anyways best of luck girls
As for spring- nothing planned except spring cleaning and saving money! Gota recover from all these crazy IVF expenses and see if we need to save for another cycle- or start decorating a baby room....possible family trip for early June though!!
TTC Again since 8/16/2014- 3rd Clomid Cycle with IUI starts 8/18
I love sitting on patios in the spring! And taking walks and watching the trees and flowers start to bloom. And we are having a great and much needed rainstorm tonight, which really makes it feel like spring!
Thanks to everyone for the check ins and support!
