But now, these baby hiccups are driving me INSANE. Seriously, the baby gets them several times a day and they last like 15 minutes which feels like forever..
Sure, I love to feel LO moving around, but these are making me a little crazy.
Too funny!! I just made a comment to my boyfriend maybe 1 minute prior to reading this how annoying it is when LO gets the hiccups! Seems like he gets them all the time anymore. I totally understand how you feel.
Curious what about them that is *SO* horrible? I mean I get that they're noticeable, but out of all the things pregnancy brings, especially this late in the game, the hiccups are the least of my concerns. I'd take hiccups all day long over: heartburn, leg cramps, insomnia, exhaustion, crazy amount of energy it takes to get dressed/get in and out of bed all night/put on socks or shoes, the 90 trips to the bathroom all day and night, aching ribs, hips and pelvis, contractions etc..

I don't think there's anything about them that's so horrible, but my kid just seems to get them in the middle of the night and wake me up and then I have trouble going back to sleep. That, combined with all the other fun pregnancy stuff, makes them annoying.

I have to agree with you here. The hiccups just feel like tickling. I can barely walk my pelvic girdle pain is so bad, and I cry almost every time I have to put on shoes and socks. I'll take the hiccips.

They drive me nuts, too. They didn't with my daughter, but she was always sitting very high. She'd get them at the same time every single day. With this LO, he's head down and very low, and when he gets the hiccups (thankfully not very often), it actually makes me feel nauseous.
I guess it's bc of his position, he's already head down and we've already dropped, but when he gets hiccups i swear it feels like my butthole is twitching. DD had hiccups more than this LO, but I don't remember this feeling ever. She didn't drop until 4-5 days before I was induced.
Like you said I love the movements, but a twitchy butthole is not something i like to feel twice a day, everyday.

Omgosh! I totally agree.
Of course perhaps I've been blessed as I have not noticed any pronounced hiccuping with my baby.
Yeah, the hiccups are starting to get pretty annoying. But I do like them because it's assurance the baby is still head down! (well, most of the time...)
That's a good point, they are good indicators of baby's position. So maybe I should be a little more tolerant
LOL! Love this post! DH was asking earlier in the week what LOs hiccups felt like, and how I could tell the difference between them and movement. She's very much head down and dropped, but I explained feeling them in my butt and he just laughed. As a FTM I'm glad I'm not alone in this feeling.
My first daughter had them 5 times a day every day and they lasted about 10 minutes. I was SO annoyed whenever she got them. Something about them drove me insane. This time the baby only gets them about once a day and I don't find them annoying.

EXACTLY!!! When I first felt them in my butt I remember posting about it here because I didn't even know that was possible.
