My husband and I made plans to go to a college basketball game tomorrow and meet up with several of his college friends and their families. We really want to take DS with us so everyone can meet him, but I'm concerned about taking him to the basketball game. My biggest concern is the noise level. He freaks out about loud noises at first, but eventually gets used to them (like my hair dryer and the food processor and the constantly howling beagle). I just worry about possibly damaging his hearing if it's too loud there. Of course we would leave if he seemed too upset about it, but I'm just wondering if it's a good idea to take him at all. We took him to a couple of football games back in the fall, but he pretty much slept in the sling the whole time. Now he's so much more alert and aware of everything. I'm just wondering if it would be sensory overload for him. Thoughts?
Re: Would you take a 7 month old to a college basketball game?
Baby #2!
Only if it was an IU game.
I have a good friend who took her baby boy to a (family-friendly) Mardi Gras parade and big headphones on him. Not sure if they were baby headphones but I know they helped with noise!
