EE-LIE-US ( lie like telling a lie) It's my 10 month olds name! Most people say it correctly, however I think Eh lie us is also correct. Hate "uh lie us" but its happens. Sometimes people say EE lee us, but then they usually realize they are saying it wrong. Some languages pronounce it that way though.
I'm greek and it's a common greek name pronounced Ee lee us. That was going to be our boys name, I love it.

I had a friend Elias in high school who pronounced it that way. I remember it took me awhile to get the hang of it because it seemed the wrong way to pronounce it, but now it's how it sounds in my head whenever I see it.
