I am not sure which one to buy, which do you prefer if you have tried both? DD is almost 10 months and still nursing so i would like to be able to nurse in it too. Thank you!
Women under 5'2 or who have a very large chest tend to not like the Ergo. If either of those describe you, I would lean toward Beco. You should be able to nurse in either with some practice. Do you have a babywearing group in your area? That is a great way to try before buying.
I'm 5'6 and have a larger chest but not ginormous : ) yes i do think there is a babywearing group near me, i've been wanting to check it out. Thanks for the suggestion!
After a decent amount of research, I just bought the Gemini for my 6 month old and really love it already! It's really secure and comfortable. Also easy to adjust between both my husband and myself. One big selling point for me was that you don't need an infant insert. Since we plan on having more children, I thought that being able to use it at an early age without extra fuss was nice!

I heard this, and even though I'm just about 5'3", I love my Ergo. I think your build and the size of your baby might contribute to that a little bit.
I've never tried the Beco, so I can't give you a fair recomendation. All I can tell you is, the Ergo is a very comfortable carrier. The shoulder pads are what I love the most since they are padded and thicker than the average carrier tends to be. I also love that the waist area is wider as well, I have wonky hips so any extended amount of time with weight on them can get painful. I've not gotten pain with the Ergo. Plusalso, in my opinion, its very nice looking. I have the red sport one and I think its cute!!
I wouldn't buy either for a 10 month old as both are rather small bodied (the gemini is quite narrow). They work if you already have one but if you are specifically buying for a bigger baby there are better options - Tula or Kinderpack standard sizes or the ABC toddler are some easy to find options to consider. I second the advice to try to find a babywearing group near you to try before you buy!
I am using the Beco Gemini with my 21 month old. I absolutely love it. I hated the Ergo because baby can't face out and my daughter still at 21 months has days where all she wants to do is ride in front facing out I wish she just wanted to hug me!. It is so comfortable and distributes her weight well she feels so lite in it. I highly recommend the Gemini and my daughter is pressing 2 and she has plenty of room to grow.

Glad the gemini is still working for you but I'm going to reiterate my above comment that I wouldn't recommend it for someone buying for a bigger baby. Ideally a carrier should come knee to knee (or pretty close for an older toddler) and the gemini isn't going to do that. It will also not come very high on the back which can be a comfort problem if you have a leaner. Weight wise it is safe but if you have a carrier that is too small bodied, it won't be as comfortable as it could be for baby and for wearer.
