I had none until last week as well. I just figure that they show my body is real, and that I've experienced motherhood! Annoying yes, but they will fade in time and with weight loss.
The layer of skin where stretchmarks occur is not affected by lotion. Lotion or not, you can still get them. Genetics plays a role in it. Sorry.
This. But I still lotion twice a day as well. It can't hurt and here I am at 37 weeks with none... knock on wood. If they come in the next few weeks, bummer but oh well. They will fade eventually.
Omg I was the same way!! No stretch marks then BAM, I found two short, albeit dark, marks. sigh. I've been using palmers stretch mark lotion about twice a day but I'm trying to bump it up to three times a day. I know how frustrated you are!
If it makes you feel better...I got stretch marks with DS1 and they were almost completely faded within 6 months when I got PG with DS2. They were purple and really hideous and they completely faded to a silvery color that you could hardly see. Don't worry!
Ssssshhhhh.....you're all supposed to tell me that you're all stretch-mark free and that surely I won't get any!!!
I didn't get any with DS, but my skin feels soooo much tighter this time. I keep feeling like at any moment I'm going to look down and see tiger stripes running a long my belly.

Re: 9 months with out a stretch mark....now
I feel your pain! I see a few at 39! Just when I thought I had dodged that bullet!
