  We made an Amazon wish list for DD.  it's not specifically for her birthday, but it's an easy way for us to keep track of things (especially books and movies) we want for DD for when my MIL (she lives across the country from us) wants to buy something.

  
  Married 1/2/99.
  TTC since 4/09.
  Diagnosed PCOS. Diagnosed Hypothryoid 11/09.
  SHG & SA normal. PCOS Research study started 5/10.
  Clomid/Femara cycle #1 - 6/10 = BFN
  Clomid/Femara cycle #2 - 7/10 = BFP #1 - Missed miscarriage 9/2/10
  11/12 - BFP #2 - 11/22 - m/c
  5/1/11 - BFP #3 - Pre-eclampsia, IUGR & bed rest from 32w. DD born via induction 1/4/12.

  I didn't make an actual list, but we gave suggestions whenever asked by family members.

  My mom got him a little outdoor play gym with a slide and basketball hoop, MIL got him an outdoor picnic table and we got him a sandbox. I just suggested books and clothes to other people since I didn't want to suggest anything pricey. DS already has too many toys and I feel like a wish list would just encourage more excess in the toy department.

  we also keep an amazon list, mostly for us and close family who have found it or have been sent the link... sometimes they buy stuff from it but it is mostly for us.

  We do this exactly! We use it to keep track of neat things we see and would like to explore more. Our families are far away so they use it to get and idea of what DS could use. It's great!
