3rd Trimester

Its starting to bug me that I cant see my vagina anymore!

Are there any safe hair removal creams to use down there? Im sad I cant shave and keep up with it with my tubba bubba belly in the way. At our old place we had a large mirror I could use.

Id like to be "groomed" for my husband :(

He said he doesnt mind helping, but Im uncomfortable with that....I want to be able to take care of myself.

Sorry if this is TMI......I just figured if anyone would understand or have any good advice, it would be you ladies :/

  • Just IMO since our skin is a bit different being pg and with hormones etc I wouldn't trust creams. I have DH help me but since that isn't an option maybe a wax??

  • LoL, just think of how HAPPY you'll be once you can see it again!!! :) I have 12 days to go and I'm still shaving it myself and it's working fine. SO offers to help but like you that's just a little too much for me! If I feel the skin I can tell how good of a job I'm doing so it's not a big deal for me.  I've been waxed before and it's too much pain for me so this works out perfectly!
  • I'm one of those women that shaves it all, so I guess it's easier for me. I either just shave blindly or sit infront of a mirror.

  • i haven't really done the research, but i don't think it's safe to use the hair removal creams.  it's all i used to use for self grooming, but felt weird using a chemical so close to where LO was growing. you could always get waxed, or just try to use your best judgement when it comes to shaving.

i use those on my arms and have had no issues, but if you use it down there, it will burn like a MOFO

  • Yeah, I'd be a little scared to use a cream. My DH helps me now. He helped last time, too.

  • I refuse to take an actual razor down there since I can't see anything, but I have been using a buzzer (i think it's a remington bikini trimmer or something like that) to keep everything super short. i take my time and haven't hurt myself yet!

Awkward moment - I did it the other day for the first time in a while, and asked DH to come take a look to make sure i got it all... he ended up on his knees in front of me standing with one leg up on the toilet inspecting it like a madman and buzzing a few strays. I was more scared of him doing that than doing it myself without being able to see! But it's sooo much better than a jungle.

I'm laughing so hard I'm crying!! I asked DH for help since this week I noticed, "well crap! I can't see 'it' anymore" and I have never seen a more terrified reaction from the man! He's afraid to cut me, so I just blindly went at it last night. I "think" I did a decent job, but I'm definitely buying a mirror for the shower!!

  • My fiance is the best and will patiently shave me while I lay on our bed with a towel beneath me to catch the falling hairs. He does this everytime we have an OB appt in case they need to do a vaginal check. I love him a lot and we are not embarrassed to ask for help when we need it. I even shaved him a couple times because he was curious hehe
  • I hear you! Landscaping is really hard. The first time I tried I cut myself and freaked out thinking I was spotting. Then I learned my lesson and had to be more careful. Still...it's hard to do a good job because unless you are using a mirror, it's all guesswork.

  • I said to my hubby

"honey, I'm going to need some help"

"with what? anything I can do to make life easier"

"i need you to do my landscaping, I don't want to be one of those jungles we've seen on videos.."

"ugh, ok. When do we start?"
