Little tikes roller coaster?

Does anyone have the little tikes roller coaster and do they like it? I think
It looks cute, but where do you use it? Outside? In grass driveway? Does your child like it? I'm also trying to find a ride on toy that he can push his feet but that sits higher up ... Any recommendations? Thanks

Re: Little tikes roller coaster?

  • DD use this in an indoor play area last summer and enjoyed it.  I think she'd still like it, but I wouldn't buy it because I think she's just about out grown it, she'll be 3 in a few weeks.  I don't think it would work well in the grass, maybe in a driveway or large basement.  We got DD a huffy scooter for Christmas that she seems to enjoy, although it's been too cold to get much use of yet.  We went with that because she couldn't get a bike going yet.

  • Our neighbors had one, their kids and our son all enjoyed it. They had it in the back yard on their patio. The had it set up so the end of the coaster was still on the patio but right at the edge of the grass.

  • We got one last summer for our kids so ages 1 3 they loved it. My 13 yo also enjoyed it, I see many more years of fun for my kids. We have ours in the grassy area of our yard. My older kids change it up ride backwards or side saddle but overall it's endless fun for them.
  • We have the Extreme Coaster, the grandparents were worried about the kids outgrowing the smaller version too quickly.  Smile  However, the kids have ridden on the smaller version numerous times also.  DS is just starting to like riding them.  We do have to hold on to him going all the way down though on both the small version (because the car sits up so high, DS's feet cannot touch the ground yet) and the large one (you sit inside the car which is nice, but it really fast so we need to slow it down).  DD prefers the Extreme, but was just fine with the smaller version until she used the larger one.

We have ours set up downstairs.  We have it running on carpet to slow it down.  I would not use either version on a slopped driveway (it would make the car even faster) or on grass (I would be afraid of the grass stopping the car abruptly and throwing off the child).
