"thinking of you" cards don't work so well for IF

I have a friend who is TTC #2 and just had her 2nd failed fresh IVF cycle.  Never thought I'd be on this side of the fence, being the pregnant one while not really knowing how to comfort someone who is not (our first cycles failed together). Anyway....I thought sending a simple thinking of you card would be nice.  Easier said then done...apparently thinking of someone means you agree their situation is hopeless (one day at time, as this door closes) or it is funny and they should "buck up".  I found ONE card that literally just said thinking of you and wanted to drop a note that said it, and I'll write a more heartfelt message myself.

Thats my random tidbit for the day.

2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!
Surprise! 12/16/14 BFP, loss #2 12/31/14

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

    Hugs. My friends are struggling with IF as well, and it hurts me each time we talk about it. Maybe some flowers or a homemade meal?

    I had that same experience when tryingto find a thinking of you card for a friend whose dad was dying. I never found one and just got a plain old blank card.

    I had a friend have flowers delivered to me when I was in the middle of IF treatments. It felt SO good to know that she cared enough to do that for me. That's my new go-to thing for friends going through a hard time. I've found the same thing with cards so I generally just get a blank one and write a heart felt note.

    This! I am sure your friend will appreciate that you are thinking of her during a very difficult time, whatever you decide to send.

    The thing is that when you have been through it, you truly know how much your friend is hurting. I think a heartfelt note and an ear to listen go a long way. I am so sorry your friend is struggling.

    You are such a good friend. Those cards meant the world to me during my low points. Although, I can only imagine the anger at a "buck up" card!!

    Three TI cycles (BFP...miscarriage), five IUI attempts and 2.5 IVF cycles later...BFP!!
    12dp5dt: 765; 15dp5dt: 1979; 17dp5dt: 3379...TWINS!!!!!
    Our perfect baby boys were born at 36w1d!!

    This may be inappropriate but the thought of an IF card just made me LOL.  Corny expressions like "Ute better get pregnant" or "Hope your IVF turns out Eggs-ellent" or "Here is to U, Here is to us, Here is to your Uterus"  ran through my mind. 

    On a more serious note, I think a blank card would work fine.  And flowers would be great, too! 

    IF DX: DOR & Fragile X pre-mutation carrier
    2011: FSH 13.3 & E 99; AMH 0.54 2nd FSH 6.2 E 40's AFC: 8
    BFP from Clomid/IUI ~ Pre-e and IUGR during pregnancy ~ DS born 9/4/12
    Feb./March 2013: AMH less than 0.16 (undectable) and AFC = 4;
    BFP from supps ~ DS#2 due May 2014
