Sound like Nesting to you too?

last night right after my husband I finishes brushing his teeth to come to bed, i make the bed (I won't let him make it, and he always does!) and notice there is some stuff of the floor, so i HAVE to pick it up, then i notice the dresser is messy, so i have to clean that up, and the mirror in the bathroom too (which involves standing on the sink to clean) and parts of the living room and kitchen. It took a lot of will power to not go and clean out the car, and start vacuuming. this couldn't have happened earlier, but no! it had to have happened at 12:30 last night. I was up until about 2 last night thanks to this. On the bright side, my bathroom mirror has never looked cleaner.

Re: Sound like Nesting to you too?

  • Definitely sounds like nesting to me. I woke up before DS today (which rarely happens) and I just layed in bed thinking of all the stuff I wanted to do. I got up while he was still sleeping and cleaned the whole kitchen, including the cupboards, emptied the dishwasher, did a load of laundry and made a grocery list. It felt great but now I'm tired!

  • Ha ha! Sounds about right! I found myself scrubbing our tub at 11:30pm one night a week ago. I totally paid for it with cramps in my lower abdomen afterward though. :S DH is now on tub duty until LO arrives. I've found that I've been obsessive with keeping our house spotless over the last few weeks in case I go into labour. I want to come home to a clean house. Also, my dad and his gf might be taking care of my SKs at our house when I'm in the hospital so I want the house to be super clean for them while they're here. Hence the motivation behind the late night tub-scrubbing.

I've been on a roll with preparing freezer meals as well. This is something I've never done before but, since Saturday, I've made 10 freezer meals in freezer bags, 2 Shepherd's Pies, and 2 lasagnas. I plan to make up 4 lbs worth of meatballs this evening and homemade perogies on Friday. My friends keep saying that they don't know where I'm getting my energy and they're bugging me that I'm nesting. I suppose I am! Nothing wrong with that! I've been on sick leave for a while now so I have time to do these things (now that my work responsibilities are FINALLY done and everything else is ready for baby).
