Complete mix of emotions just want to share

I had my 37 week appointment today and I have been dilating at a rate of .5cm weekly an I'm now at 3.5cm Doctor said he wants me to come in a day early next week and if I am dilated anymore he is going to keep me. I'm excited because I'm ready for LO but I'm sad because DH isn't scheduled to get here until the 17th. I know all will work out well and I have lots of family to help I just feel so lonely and I will be alone in the hospital without DH to share it with. He is upset because he wanted to take care of me but I keep telling him I will be ok. Guess I'm just emotional. Anyway I can't wait I'm loving seeing all of these March babies popping up.

    I remember reading one of your old posts about your DH being gone. I would be a basket case, personally. Take care and try to stay as positive as you can. Do you have any local family or a best bud that could be there for you just in case? HUGS!

    Isn't 4cm or more normally active labor? He said today if I dilate anymore or baby gets any lower it won't take long for him to come out. I don't think he is trying to help me along just doesn't want me to have LO at home or on my way to the hospital. I was only in labor for 5 hours with my first.

    That makes sense! 5 hours is short to me since my first was 24 :)
