Update: Question about discharge...

I'm very graeful for all the responses I recieved earlier on my orignal post. They mad me feel alot beter.

Hoever, I went to my perinatologist appt, and they promptly had me hospitalized. I'm typing this on the hospital compuer, and I can barely read the screen so I hope this post makes sense. My amniotic fluid is severly low. Luckily I'm not leaking fluid. Now I'm on IV. I'll get the steroid shots. Then just monioring rom here on out. No clue when or even if I'll get to leave.

I'm most concrned for my DD. My parents have her because MH is out of town. He'll be out of town all month so I'm really hoping she doesn't get too upset about all of this.

Oh my gosh, I'm so glad you are getting the care you need! Please, please take care of yourself and keep us updated. I'm sure your parents will take great care of your DD and hope you get to see your husband soon.

I'm sorry to hear this. Keep your chin up and remember that children are way more resilient than adults. She may have a little time of adjustment but she will be okay. She's in great hands with your parents.

I'm so sorry to hear this! I know you posted about the low fluid, and I really was hoping just drinking the tons of water would work. Maybe things will start to improve with the IV. T&P to you and your DD.

Sending you lots of thoughts and prayers. As someone else mentioned, kids are so resilient so try not to worry about your daughter too much. I am sure your parents will make sure she is happy and spoiled :. Hope they can give you some treatments to improve your situation. Lots of TP.

I am glad you were proactive and talked to your perinatologist. I am so sorry you are having to be hospitalized, but maybe at the fluids will help. Praying for you.

Tonight I met my dr. I was warned by my nurse that he has excellent bedside manner and she'd known him to stay talking HALF AN HOUR before : 2 hours later he left! He's a talker! A very informed, intelligent talker, but I mean he left at midnight!

In the few comments he made about my medical issues he said the baby looked great. The tradeoff to that is that it's still possible I'm leaking. He said my fluid is so low there may be a tiny leak with only a drip coming out, but over enough time I'm guessing that's as bad as a membrane rupture. So he said I'm on fluids for the next 48 hours. They will check everything again including checking if I'm leaking again and go from there. Maybe I'll get to chat with him for 3 hours next time :
